Ever heard of Essiac formula? It's a four-herb formula based on one used by the Ojibway Indians for centuries. And, it's now been improved. Essiac formula has its roots in Native American culture. The Ojibway Indians of North America believed the herb blend to be useful in promoting optimal health. A registered nurse in Canada, Rene Caisse, learned of the formula through a patient of hers, and later opened a clinic offering the formula and other services to those who needed it. Eventually, Rene Caisse sold part of the formula to a pharmaceutical company, and the company named the product Essiac (Rene's last name spelled backwards.) During the 1960's, John F. Kennedy's personal physician, Dr. Charles Brusch, learned of the formula from Rene Caisse and discovered an additional herb that he believed added to the effectiveness of the tea. Later, a 6th herb was added, Cats Claw, and then Jim Feijo, founder of Daniel Chapter One, researched the final, 7th herb and collaborated with Dr. Bill Mclean to add it to the tea. The result was 7 Herb Formula, the most powerful herbal tea available on the market. |
